And so the New Year begins ...

And so the New Year begins ...

What has 2025 install for you?

Christmas already passed by and may have been busy, with family, organising and meeting up. For others it may have been a quiet affair or a time to be quiet. Christmas is not always the best time for everyone and with it advertised on every bill board it can be hard to avoid it. Some need the time to reflect and just be.

For many Christmas is a celebration, a religious affair, a time for family, children and gatherings. For others meeting up with family and friends, dressing up, eating and drinking. I hope you had fun and got to be with everyone you wanted. And those who could not make it, I hope they were okay and that you were able to video call them and wish them well. What would we do without WhatsApp, Messenger, or the video platforms?!?

For me, Christmas was about family and this year I thought we would not be all together however much to my delight my eldest was able to join us. The message is clear and that for me, my family are the most important people in my life. Being together as much as possible is important and even for a short period that's fine. When we get together we eat, drink and talk around the table. We share lots of memories.

Who did a Christmas jumper this year? Me! But its thick polyester made me so hot! Can you relate to that?!?! I must wear something else as my body thermostat does not not know what is "control" anymore!!

Anyway this is my first Blog. A new beginning for me with change ahead.

I will be blogging on Women's Health with particular focus on Menopause. It may lead to other topics but we will see what happens.

It will be about helping us to think more about women's health, to think about it, talk about it, track it as much of it all relates to our cycle and if necessary help you seek the right treatment. So 4Ts!

So this will be one of many blogs on women's health and really focusing on menopause and helping you think about it more positively. I will share information that is evidence based and from recognised practitioners.

You should know that I am a qualified nurse, lecturer and workplace place coach and just completing a menopause coaching course. I have been in clinical practice recently but while I bring this experience with me it will not be about prescribing care. I have conducted research with my colleagues on menopause and have been helping friends, family and colleagues for some time. Now I want to focus on you whether you are at home or at work.

I hope I will have something to contribute.

So to begin with I will be taking a lifespan approach to women's health. Everyone one is different and has their own experience. You are important and you should know our body's are amazing and we need to look after ourselves.

The perimenopause is a challenge and some of us will sail through while others will need some help and guidance. But you should know that our body is telling use to get ready, reminding us to prepare for getting ready for change and getting older.

Healthy ageing is now an important concept and one we must prepare for and tune our bodies for.

So join me if you can. It's a journey of self-discovery.

If you need some help, I am here and can guide you.

Please contact me here and I can coach you through with different packages available.

It's about taking care of overselves.
